PRME

ICRM and UN PRME

The Institute is a working partner of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a United Nations initiative, and as such, has incorporated the objectives of the initiative into all areas of work. The mission of the initiative is to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally.

The PRME are inspired by internationally accepted values such as the principles of the United Nations Global Compact. They seek to establish a process of continuous improvement among institutions of management education in order to develop a new generation of business leaders capable of managing the complex challenges faced by business and society in the 21st century. As a Working Group leader ICRM is at the forefront in bringing forward this agenda.

In the current academic environment, corporate responsibility and sustainability have entered, but not yet become embedded, in mainstream business-related education. The PRME are therefore a timely global call for business schools and universities worldwide to gradually adapt their curricula, research, teaching methodologies and institutional strategies to new business challenges and opportunities. Through this partnership, the Institute is a working example and leader for other business schools and universities interested in responsible management.
Being a participant of the Initiative, we assume the role of promoting the principles worldwide and sharing our experiences and knowledge with our partners. All programs offered by the Institute contribute to the goals of PRME.
